Global Days for Darfur
Activists across the world have come together to plan "Global Days for Darfur" - a week of rallies, marches, vigils and other events designed to alert the world that "time has run out" for the people of Darfur.
Will you please join us and thousands of Darfur activists around the globe the week of April 23rd - 30th? Click here to find an event taking place near you.
At the web page, locate the "Find an Event" section on the right-hand side of the page, enter your zip code and the numbers of miles you'd like to search within, then click "Find Events" to see what will be taking place in your area.
If you find that there are not yet any events taking place in your town or city, we encourage you to host your own event for others in your community to join.
Click here to organize your own Global Days for Darfur event in your town or city. You can get started by locating the "Create an Event" section on the right-hand side of the page (right above "Find an Event"), entering your zip code, and clicking "create event."
If you are willing to organize an event, we encourage you to register your event by Sunday, March 25th to give us enough time to promote them to the rest of the community.
As you know all too well, time has run out for the people of Darfur.
We must call attention to the escalating violence and the continued failure of the international community to adequately respond to this crisis. The Global Days for Darfur week of action and events offers a perfect forum to help raise awareness of the crisis and to call for the immediate deployment of an international peacekeeping force to Darfur.
Please support your fellow activists in speaking out for the people of Darfur by joining an event in your area. Or, if there are currently no activities planned in your community, we hope you will consider creating your own event during this important week.
Once again, thank you for your incredible commitment to stopping the violence in Darfur.
Best regards,
Ben Prochazka

Click here to visit the Save Darfur Coalition's online store to browse our merchandise, including a new selection of t-shirts and sweatshirts featuring our new logo. The logo is an acacia tree, which often serves as the only shelter for Darfuri refugees whose villages have been destroyed, and is therefore a powerful symbol of hope that our work together will result in lasting protection for the people of Darfur.

Send The United Nations A Letter
Dear Readers,
| Contact the New Leader of the UN Help ensure that new UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-Moon, makes ending the violence in Darfur a top priority. Click here now to send your letter to the new Secretary-General. |
Kofi Annan's tenure as Secretary-General ended with the close of 2006 and the United Nations now has a new leader, Ban Ki-Moon of the Republic of Korea.
There is good news -- the new UN Secretary-General recently stated publicly that Darfur will be one of his first top priorities.
However, despite Secretary-General Ban's initial public commitment to Darfur, the UN has many other competing priorities and the Secretary-General will be faced with some very difficult decisions in the coming year. Ban Ki-Moon must do everything in his power to make Sudanese President Bashir respect his commitments, as well as to mobilize the necessary troops, funding and logistics from UN member states.
Will you help us make sure that Secretary-General Ban stays focused on ending the crisis in Darfur? Click here now to send a letter urging the new UN Secretary-General to make Darfur one of his top priorities.
The situation in Darfur has never been more urgent. Two weeks ago, the Sudanese government breached a hopeful 60-day ceasefire when military planes bombed Darfuri civilians. There were also reports of UN staff being assaulted by Sudanese police the weekend before last.
That is why we need your help to make sure that Secretary-General Ban hears from millions of people around the world with the urgent message to act quickly in Darfur before hundreds of thousands more lives are lost to the violence.
Click here to sign the petition to the new UN Secretary-General.
Once you've signed the petition, please forward this message to your friends and family and ask them to join you in contacting the new Secretary-General.
Thank you again for your commitment.
Best regards,
David Rubenstein

Help us top last year's record-setting registration of more than 1,500 groups and individuals who took action in the United States and worldwide. Register today and encourage others to get involved too.
1: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2: (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
3: That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4: And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
5: This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6: If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8: If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10: If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Save Darfur Coalition-One Day Left
There is only one day left to make your tax-deductible year-end gift to support the Save Darfur Coalition's efforts on behalf of the people of Darfur.
Together, we can call on the world to address this crisis and stop the violence.
In order to do so, we'll need your help to accomplish three key goals in the coming year:
- Expand our advocacy efforts around the globe by supporting a growing network of human rights campaigners in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
- Increase the pressure on President Bush and other world leaders to end the genocide in Darfur. Our efforts continue through direct lobbying, letter writing, phone calls, events and rallies, celebrity spokespeople, media outreach, and print, radio, television and online advertising.
- Raise awareness of the crisis and recruit thousands additional activists to help save Darfur.
Please don't be discouraged! Although the violence in the region continues, our efforts are making a difference; the challenge we face now is to expand them significantly in the coming year.
Will you help?
Once again, we thank you for your commitment to stopping the violence and protecting innocent people in Darfur.
Wishing you a very Happy New Year from all of us here at the Save Darfur Coalition.
Best regards,
David Rubenstein
