I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.

Psalms Chapter 55

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Psalms Chapter 55
1: Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
2: Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
3: Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
4: My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
5: Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
6: And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
7: Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
8: I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
9: Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
10: Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.
11: Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
12: For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
13: But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.
14: We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.
15: Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.
16: As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.
17: Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
18: He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.
19: God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
20: He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
21: The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
22: Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
23: But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.

Why the liberal media are pushing to force General Pace's resignation

I thought you would be interested in this excellent article concerning the liberal media’s attempt to force Gen. Peter Pace to resign because he said homosexual acts are immoral.

SUPREME U.S. COMMANDER IN
EUROPE CALLS ISRAEL 'MODEL' STATE: The supreme commander of NATO operations in Europe and head of the U.S. European Command John Craddock, has called Israel a "model state" and the United States ' closest ally in the Middle East . He commended the stability of Israel 's government and said Israel encouraged democratic ideals and pro-Western values and economics. Craddock, speaking in Washington said Israel consistently and directly supported U.S. interests by means of security cooperation and understanding U.S. policy in the region. (Ha'aretz ) "'I will give you honor and praise among all the peoples of the earth says the Lord." Zeph. 3:20

SNEH: TALK TO ABBAS, DRIVE OUT HAMAS: Deputy Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh is strongly urging Israel to circumvent the new Palestinian Authority government, finalized March 15th, and to try and strike a peace agreement with PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas of Fatah. He said that it is the only way to drive Hamas from power. The new Hamas-Fatah coalition does not meet international conditions, including recognizing Israel 's right to exist. Political leaders in Jerusalem said Israel would not establish any contact with the new PA government. ( J.Post)

PALESTINIAN FINANCE MINISTER ADMITS AID MONEY IS STOLEN:
The incoming finance minister of the Palestinian Authority, Salam Fayed, has admitted that 700 million dollars of foreign aid has been siphoned off through fraud and corruption since the Hamas terrorist government came into power. He said out of control salaries are being paid to government workers who never turn up, and nobody can track where the money is going; 700 million dollars has simply disappeared. (Arutz-7) "By justice a king gives a country stability, but one who is greedy...tears it down." Proverbs. 29:4

OLMERT, LIVNI, CHENEY: 'DON'T SHOW WEAKNESS IN THE MIDDLE EAST':
Israeli PM Ehud Olmert, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, and U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney, speaking at a recent American Israel Public Affairs Committee, warned the U.S. against a premature departure from Iraq . All agree it would be a disaster for the entire Middle East . Cheney, reiterated his country's support for Israel and criticized opponents of the war in Iraq who have called on the Bush administration to increase the pressure on Iran . He said it is inconsistent to demand aggressive action against a menacing Iranian regime while at the same time acquiescing in a retreat from Iraq . (Arutz-7) "He rules forever by his power, his eyes watch the nations. Let not the rebellious rise up against him." Psalm 66:7

SIX POWERS AGREE ON SANCTIONS FOR
IRAN: The U.N. Security Council's five major powers and Germany agreed last week to increasing sanctions against Iran . U.S. officials said they had hoped to apply tougher measures but faced resistance from key council members such as Russia , a major supplier of arms to Iran . Iranian leader Mahmoud slammed the Security Council agreement and said it would not deter Iran from pursuing its nuclear program. ( Washington Post)

IRAN PLANS TO KIDNAP ISRAELIS: Iran is threatening to kidnap Israelis, Europeans and Americans. The move is in retaliation for what Iran claims was an undercover operation by the West to kidnap senior officers in the Iran Revolutionary Guard. Iranian sources say several officers have been kidnapped over the past three months with the aim of destabilizing Iran 's military. The Revolutionary Guard's newspaper, Subhi Sadek, said Iran intended to strike back. ( J.Post) "The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; but the Lord laughs at the wicked." Psalm 37: 12,13

SHIN BET DIRECTOR: HUNDREDS OF HAMAS MEN BEING TRAINED IN
IRAN: Shin Bet (Israeli Intelligence) Director, Yuval Diskin warned days ago that hundreds of Hamas members have been sent to Iran for long-term, high-quality training. He expressed concern that in another two or three years it will be very difficult to deal with the Gaza Strip problem. Senior Likud legislator Yuval Steinitz, in the wake of Diskin's report, reiterated his call for an Israeli military ground offensive in Gaza . He said the picture being presented by Intelligence is very grave. (Haaretz)

LARGEST WEST BANK SETTLEMENT NOT BUILT ON PALESTINIAN LAND AS CHARGED: In November 2006, Peace Now charged that 86% of Maale Adumim was private land seized from Palestinians to build Israel 's largest West Bank settlement. A military database released to an anti-settlement group under court pressure last week shows that very little private land was used to build the suburb. According to the data only 0.5% of the settlement is built on private land. (Herald Tribune)

2ND-TEMPLE JEWISH TOWN UNCOVERED IN JERUSALEM: The ruins of an ancient Jewish community just north of the Holy Temple have been uncovered, in the course of preparing tracks for the new light-rail system in Jerusalem . Recent digs have unearthed remains of a Jewish town from post-Second Temple times, including houses, public buildings, a mikveh and roads. Many coins have been found depicting Trainus Caesar who began his reign 30 years after the Second Temple was destroyed. (Arutz-7) " For her stones are dear to your servants; her very dust moves them to pity." Psalm 102:

Global Days for Darfur

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Activists across the world have come together to plan "Global Days for Darfur" - a week of rallies, marches, vigils and other events designed to alert the world that "time has run out" for the people of Darfur.

Will you please join us and thousands of Darfur activists around the globe the week of April 23rd - 30th? Click here to find an event taking place near you.

At the web page, locate the "Find an Event" section on the right-hand side of the page, enter your zip code and the numbers of miles you'd like to search within, then click "Find Events" to see what will be taking place in your area.

If you find that there are not yet any events taking place in your town or city, we encourage you to host your own event for others in your community to join.

Click here to organize your own Global Days for Darfur event in your town or city. You can get started by locating the "Create an Event" section on the right-hand side of the page (right above "Find an Event"), entering your zip code, and clicking "create event."

If you are willing to organize an event, we encourage you to register your event by Sunday, March 25th to give us enough time to promote them to the rest of the community.

As you know all too well, time has run out for the people of Darfur.

We must call attention to the escalating violence and the continued failure of the international community to adequately respond to this crisis. The Global Days for Darfur week of action and events offers a perfect forum to help raise awareness of the crisis and to call for the immediate deployment of an international peacekeeping force to Darfur.

Please support your fellow activists in speaking out for the people of Darfur by joining an event in your area. Or, if there are currently no activities planned in your community, we hope you will consider creating your own event during this important week.

Once again, thank you for your incredible commitment to stopping the violence in Darfur.

Best regards,

Ben Prochazka

VOM Prayers for March 20, 2007

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

"And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever- the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."
(John 14:16-17)

Pray for INDIA
INDIA Pastors Brutally Beaten - VOM Sources
  • RAJASTHAN - On March 7, 2007, Pastor Reginald Howell of Good Shepherd Community Church was brutally beaten by a Hindu extremist group in Hanumangarh, Rajasthan. According to The Voice of the Martyrs sources, Pastor Howell went to Hanumangarh to pray for the sick and visit Christians in the area. The pastor was beaten with an iron rod and suffered severe injuries on his back. The police refused to register his complaint and as a result, doctors denied him treatment. Rajasthan State has a so-called "Freedom of Religion Bill," that is used as a tool to harass Christians. VOM sources report cases of anti-Christian attacks in the area keep increasing, and the State Administration turns a blind eye to the persecution.
  • ANDRA PRADESH - On March 11, 2007, Pastor Anand visited a village to attend services. He was attacked by more than 10 men from a Hindu radical group. Local police who arrived at the location of the attack did not protect him, resulting in further beatings. Pastor Anand was beaten on his face and legs with wooden logs until the early hours of the next morning.
Pray for healing for these pastors and that the Gospel of Christ will not be hindered, but it will spread in the midst of this persecution. Romans 12: 14, 21

Pray for INDONESIA
INDONESIA Indonesian Christians Attacked; Church Closed - VOM Sources
On February 11, 2007, a Moslem mob stormed Indonesia Bethel Church, in Majalaya, disrupting the service and beating church members. More than 50 Islamic extremists raided the church building and ordered the congregation to leave. Church members were threatened, beaten, and asked to show their identity cards. During the raid, a cell phone belonging to a church member, offerings, an important building permit and pictures of Jesus Christ were stolen. The militants insulted believers and said Indonesia was a Muslim nation. Hours after the attack at Indonesia Bethel Church, the same Islamic extremists marched to Baranangsiang and closed a church there. Pray believers in Indonesia will rest in the knowledge that God walks with them through this difficult time. Ask Him to heal all who were injured. Psalm 23

Pray for CHINA
CHINA Thirty-Six Christians Arrested in Henan, China - VOM Sources/China Aid Association
On March 6, 2007, the police raided a house-church Bible study in Wancheng District, Nanyang City, Henan province. The leaders were taken to the police station and interrogated for a day. After international pressure, however, the local police have released 33 arrested house-church leaders and three leaders from South Korea. One leader, Pastor Dong Quanyu, was sentenced to 10 days administrative detention for "illegal" gathering. Pray Christians in China demonstrate the love of God through constant love and prayer for those who persecuted them. Pray for strength for Pastor Quanyu, as he serves the remainder of his sentence. Militants Attack GFA Bible College

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

About 500 anti-Christian radicals attacked a Gospel for Asia Bible college in the eastern Indian state of Orissa on Wednesday evening, February 28. Gospel for Asia leaders in the area report the mob, which was mobilized by a Hindu nationalist group, systematically attacked the approximately 300 students and staff members present on the campus. Five students and the women's dorm director were seriously injured. All have been hospitalized, and one student is in critical condition.

Orissa has a history of violence against Christians. Australian missionary Graham Staines and his two young sons were burned to death in the state in 1999. Two other Christians—a pastor and a layperson—were stabbed to death earlier this month. Police have yet to take any action on these two recent murders of Christians.

The Republic of India (Hindi: भारत गणराज्य Bhārat Gaṇarājya), commonly known as India, is a country in South Asia. It is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second most populous country, and the most populous, secular liberal democracy in the world. India has a coastline of over seven thousand kilometres, bounded by the Indian Ocean on the south, the Arabian Sea on the west, and the Bay of Bengal on the east. India borders Pakistan to the west;[1] the People's Republic of China, Nepal and Bhutan to the north-east; and Bangladesh and Myanmar to the east. In the Indian Ocean, India is in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, Maldives and Indonesia.

Hebrews 13:12-21
12: Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
13: Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
14: For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
15: By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
16: But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
17: Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
18: Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.
19: But I beseech you the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
20: Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant,
21: Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
