I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.

1 Peter Chapter 4
1: Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2: That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
3: For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
4: Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
5: Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge the quick and the dead.
6: For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit.
7: But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
8: And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
9: Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
10: As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
11: If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
12: Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
14: If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
15: But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
16: Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
17: For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
18: And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
19: Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Jerusalem-On -The-Line Prayer Letter October 28th, 2008

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

JERUSALEM-ON-THE-LINE

Prayer Letter October 28th, 2008

JNN NEWS, P.O. Box 7411, Jerusalem 91073, Israel

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Arise, O Lord, let not man triumph; let the nations be judged in Your presence." Ps 9:19

ISRAEL TO HOLD EARLY ELECTIONS: Tzipi Livni called for new general elections in Israel, saying she failed to form a coalition government. Livni, the foreign minister and prime minister-designate, won the Kadima Party primary in September following Ehud Olmert's resignation. But she was unable to assemble a governing majority and on Sunday said she would not ask Israel's president, Shimon Peres, for more time to bring coalition partners on board. (JTA)

PALESTINIAN MURDERS ISRAELI IN JERUSALEM: A Palestinian was shot and captured after stabbing two Israelis in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Gilo on Thursday. Two police officers stopped the Arab for questioning when he pulled out a knife and stabbed one of them. The wounded policeman fired at the terrorist, but he continued to attack and stabbed a passerby before he was apprehended. The 86-year-old civilian later died of his wounds. (J.Post)

FAMILY MOURNS STABBING VICTIM: Friends and family of Avraham Ozeri, 86, murdered in last week's Jerusalem stabbing attack, voiced sorrow and anger at the killing of the man they described as "salt of the earth." "My father was a man whom everyone loved. To stab a man such as this - and at his age - is an animal-like act," said Ozeri's son. (Ha'aretz)

HAMAS DEMANDS RELEASE OF NOTORIOUS KILLERS: Several murderers are among the 1,500 jailed terrorists Hamas is demanding in exchange for kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit. The list includes Fatkhi Abu-Sheikh who in 2002 dispatched a suicide bomber to the Park Hotel in Netanya where he murdered 30 Jews and wounded 140 in the tragic "Passover massacre." Atiya Warda sent two suicide bombers to the number 18 bus line in Jerusalem during February and March of l996. The dual attacks killed a total of 45 people and wounded dozens. Hamas wants Warda also set free in a prisoner exchange deal for Shalit. "Justice is turned back and righteousness stands afar off, for truth is fallen in the street and equity cannot enter." Is 59:14

KUNTAR: I WON'T REST UNTIL ISRAEL IS DESTROYED: Three months after being released from an Israeli jail in a prisoner swap deal with Hizbullah, Lebanese terrorist and child-killer Samir Kuntar claims he is more committed than ever towards working to destroy the Jewish state. "As long as there is something called Israel in this region, the resistance must continue. I am ready to take part in any resistance mission," said Kuntar. (J.Post) "The wicked freely strut about when what is vile is honored among men." Ps 12:8

MISSOURI STUDENTS ORGANIZE HIT A JEW DAY: A school district spokesman for Parkway Middle School in Chesterfield, Missouri said one of the saddest things about last week's, student-organized "Hit A Jew Day" was a lot of kids knew it about it but didn't say anything to school officials. On this antisemitic occasion at least 10 children were struck on the back by fellow classmates and one was slapped in the face for being Jewish. Others stood by taunting the Jewish youngsters or encouraging their class mates to deliver the hits. Officials said those directly involved could face suspension and required counseling. (AP)

AHMADINEJAD'S HEALTH DETERIORATING: Iranian sources say the health of their president is declining. According to a top aid, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad - who has repeatedly called for the destruction of Israel - is coping with fatigue caused by low blood pressure and a work overload. The 52-year-old leader has canceled all public appearances and meetings during the past week. Some reports have speculated Ahmadinejad will not be fit to run for an additional presidential term next year. (J.Post)

SPY PIGEONS ARRESTED IN IRAN: Iranian intelligence sources claimed last week they arrested two pigeons near the Nantaz nuclear site. The birds - one in possession of a black metal ring with invisible strings - were charged with espionage. Months ago, the Islamic Republic arrested 12 squirrels for spying. According to Iran's state-sponsored news agency, the squirrels, who were toting foreign spy gear, were captured by quick thinking intelligence agents before the rodents could carry out their mission. (Yahoo) "Do not revile the king even in your thoughts, or curse the rich in your bedroom - a bird of the air may carry your words, and a bird on the wing may report what you say. Eccles 10:20

WORLD'S RICHEST JEW LOSES BILLIONS IN WORLD FINANCIAL CRISIS: US Jewish billionaire Sheldon Adelson has seen $10 billion melt away since the beginning of the month. Adelson owns 70% of the shares of the Las Vegas Sands (LVS). In less than four week's time LVS corporation shares have plunged by 80%. Analysts attribute the drop in LVS stocks to a general decline in the public's willingness to gamble or vacation at resorts that provide gaming services. Adelson's losses will be felt among a number of Israeli charities, which are recipients of the billionaire's financial support (Ha'aretz) "Cast but a glance at riches and they are gone. They will sprout wings and fly off to the sky." Prov 23:5

Proverbs Chapter 23
1: When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee:
2: And put a knife to thy throat, if thou be a man given to appetite.
3: Be not desirous of his dainties: for they are deceitful meat.
4: Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.
5: Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.
6: Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an evil eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats:
7: For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
8: The morsel which thou hast eaten shalt thou vomit up, and lose thy sweet words.
9: Speak not in the ears of a fool: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words.
10: Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the fatherless:
11: For their redeemer is mighty; he shall plead their cause with thee.
12: Apply thine heart unto instruction, and thine ears to the words of knowledge.
13: Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
14: Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.
15: My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine.
16: Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things.
17: Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long.
18: For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.
19: Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thine heart in the way.
20: Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh:
21: For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.
22: Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.
23: Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.
24: The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.
25: Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.
26: My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.
27: For a whore is a deep ditch; and a strange woman is a narrow pit.
28: She also lieth in wait as for a prey, and increaseth the transgressors among men.
29: Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes?
30: They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine.
31: Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.
32: At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.
33: Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things.
34: Yea, thou shalt be as he that lieth down in the midst of the sea, or as he that lieth upon the top of a mast.
35: They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again.

Psalms Chapter 103

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Psalms Chapter 103
1: Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2: Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4: Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5: Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
6: The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
7: He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
8: The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
9: He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
10: He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
11: For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
12: As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
13: Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him.
14: For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
15: As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.
16: For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.
17: But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;
18: To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them.
19: The LORD hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
20: Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
21: Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure.
22: Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.

Petition Effort for Christians in Orissa, India

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

This comes from http://www.persecution.org/suffering/index.php

On August 24, 2008, radical Hindu groups started an organized campaign to drive the Christian minority out of the state of Orissa, and the Indian government has not taken decisive action to stop the violence up to this day.

Tens of thousands of Christians in India have been deprived of their homes and their freedom, and over 50 Christians have been murdered as a result of the organized violence in Orissa that has also spread to Karnataka in recent weeks. Local officials in most cases have refused to protect Christians.

India, as a member of the international community, has an obligation to defend the freedom of religion guaranteed by its own constitution. This includes the freedom of its citizens to follow the religion of their choice. The publicly stated objective of those now committing and encouraging violent acts against Christians is to deny the citizens of India this freedom.

Many thousands of Christians now live in hiding or in relief camps, afraid to return to their communities, and afraid to rebuild their destroyed homes, due to the credible threats being made against them, and due to the inaction of law enforcement officials in their regions.

Here's How You Can Help
#1 Pray: The first thing you can do to help is stop right now and ask the Lord to intervene.

#2 Next, review our petition. Indian officials are concerned about their relationship with the United States and other Western countries, so when the people shout, they will listen. We have also found that evil prefers to stay hidden and when we shine the light on it, it flees.

#3 Electronically sign the petition by clicking here.

#4 Print out the petition and take it to your church and have everyone you know sign it. Send it back to us so we can present it to Secretary Rice.

Feel free to print out extra signature pages for large numbers of sign ups. When you have collected all your signatures, please mail the signature pages to :

ICC PO Box 10277
Silver Spring, MD 20914-0277
or fax them to us (301-989-1709).

Please get them back to us by November 30.

#5 Forward this email to all your email contacts and ask them to do the same.

Sincerely in Christ,

Jeff King
President, ICC

Psalms Chapter 19
1: The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
2: Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
3: There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard.
4: Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun,
5: Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6: His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
7: The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
8: The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9: The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
10: More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11: Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
12: Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults.
13: Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.
14: Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

Psalms Chapter 102

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Psalms Chapter 102
1: Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come unto thee.
2: Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thine ear unto me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.
3: For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth.
4: My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.
5: By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.
6: I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.
7: I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the house top.
8: Mine enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.
9: For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,
10: Because of thine indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.
11: My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.
12: But thou, O LORD, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations.
13: Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.
14: For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour the dust thereof.
15: So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.
16: When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.
17: He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.
18: This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.
19: For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;
20: To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;
21: To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;
22: When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.
23: He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days.
24: I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.
25: Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
26: They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall wax old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
27: But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.
28: The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.

1: Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.

7: He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.
8: I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.

Creationism and Intelligent Design in Public Schools

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

There are some "polls" that are published with the intent of giving us a false impression of how America thinks about teaching creationism or intelligent design in public schools. I will not argue that the world is full of hatred for some but we, as Christians, need to stand firm in our faith. Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ is our salvation to eternal life.

Here is an example of a poll that fits into this category.
http://www.onenewsnow.com/Poll.aspx?ekfrm=282864

This poll had 13459 votes. The population of the U.S. is 303,824,640 (July 2008 est.) This number is from https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/print/us.html

That would be only 4.43% of the population of the U.S..
This poll means absolutely nothing!
God is love and we all need His love in our daily lives.

1 John Chapter 4
1: Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2: Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4: Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5: They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6: We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7: Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8: He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9: In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10: Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11: Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12: No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13: Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14: And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15: Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16: And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17: Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18: There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19: We love him, because he first loved us.
20: If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21: And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

Psalms Chapters 98 & 99

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Psalms Chapter 98
1: O sing unto the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
2: The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen.
3: He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4: Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.
5: Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
6: With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.
7: Let the sea roar, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
8: Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together
9: Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.

Psalms Chapter 99
1: The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.
2: The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.
3: Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.
4: The king's strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.
5: Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.
6: Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.
7: He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.
8: Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.
9: Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.
