Get A Second Opinion. Your Life Depends On It
Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
From Luke we see "And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends;". This is out of The Holy Bible. There are those who have been taught by parents and others the wrong way to salvation and in so doing the wrong way to God. There is but one way and that is Jesus Christ. There are millions of people , that for generations, have been guided in the wrong direction. If your religion believes in The Holy Bible then I would urge you to read and study it for yourselves. Do not just take someone else's word on it. This is also the way God uses to speak to us, through His word.
If you were diagnosed with a fatal disease would you not seek, out at least, one other opinion before you simply accept that you were going to die within two months time? I believe I would. Being lost without God is fatal for eternity. Some people think that they are going to Heaven without believing in Jesus Christ. That, my friend, is not going to be the case. Your health here on earth has nothing to do with eternity yet some are more concerned about dying than salvation. We are only here on earth for a short time compared to eternity. Having eternal life with Jesus Christ is real and is free to those who believe in Him. Just think how much is spent on medical bills. And I am one of those, also, willing to spend what I need to for health care. I put my trust in God that He has given the doctors what they need to help me and others. But eternal life is totally free for the asking. No insurance bills to worry about. It is absolutely, undeniably free to all who want it and will ask for it.
Ask yourself one question. Do I want to choose to believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and live forever with Him or do I believe that what I have done has given me enough credits to get into Heaven? It is by nothing we have done that gets us into Heaven but what Jesus Christ has already done for us. It is your choice and all that you need to know is in The Holy Bible. Read it and see if what you are being taught is the truth from the word of God. If you are not being taught the truth then go somewhere else. Your life depends on it. It is that simple. God does not lie and the Hole Bible is His inspired word. Read it. Believe it.
We just had a terrible automobile accident here locally that took the lives of three young kids. Ages 10,11,and 12. My thoughts and prayers are with those families in their time of mourning. We do not know what is in our future. There is no way to know that. But we can be sure of one thing . That is eternal life and going to Heaven when our time hear on earth is over.
Pay close attention to what you are being taught. Look it up in the Bible. Read the Bible. Do not take my word for it either. Be sure of your own salvation and live the rest of your life in peace knowing there is a better place that we will be going to.
2 Peter 1:3-11
3: According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
5: And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
6: And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
7: And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
8: For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9: But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
10: Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
11: For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Luke 21:1-38
1: And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.
2: And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.
3: And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:
4: For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had.
5: And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said,
6: As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
7: And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass?
8: And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
9: But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.
10: Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
11: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
12: But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake.
13: And it shall turn to you for a testimony.
14: Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer:
15: For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.
16: And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.
17: And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake.
18: But there shall not an hair of your head perish.
19: In your patience possess ye your souls.
20: And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21: Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
22: For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
23: But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
24: And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
25: And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26: Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27: And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28: And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
29: And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30: When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
31: So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
32: Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
33: Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
34: And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35: For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36: Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
37: And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives.
38: And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.
