I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.

Salvation And Doubts

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

There is one thing we should accept and that is that without God we are
nothing. There is nothing we can do to obtain everlasting life but to
believe on Jesus Christ the Son of God. All the things we do that we
think is for God is only for ourselves. We will not admit that but it is
true. There is nothing that we can physically do to make God grant our
salvation. We can go to church five times a week and still be lost. We
can give tithes at church and still be lost. We can give to the poor,
visit those sick or locked up but we can still be lost. We can write a
best selling book and go around the world in the name of God and still be
lost. Jesus Christ tells us that He is the way, the truth, and the life.
That whosoever believes on Him will have eternal life. It does not get
any more straight forward than that.

In all we do we need to do our best to love God and our neighbor, the
rest will follow. The evil that is in the world will do anything to keep
us from salvation. It will even go so far as to imitate that which is
holy to inject man made hypocrisies to keep us from finding true
salvation. Let us not be fooled by any of these. The way to find out if
it comes from God or man is to read the Holy Bible and it will tell you.
Everything that we need to know is in there.

As we see in Matthew 19:29: And every one that hath forsaken houses, or
brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or
lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall
inherit everlasting life.30: But many that are first shall be last; and
the last shall be first. And in John 3:14: And as Moses lifted up the
serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal
life.16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting
life.17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world;
but that the world through him might be saved.18: He that believeth on
him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already,
because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Jesus Christ died so that we may be saved. Romans 5:8: But God commendeth
his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for
us.9: Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved
from wrath through him.10: For if, when we were enemies, we were
reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled,
we shall be saved by his life.11: And not only so, but we also joy in God
through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the
atonement.12: Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and
death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
13: (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when
there is no law.14: Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even
over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's
transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.15: But not as
the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one
many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is
by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.16: And not as it was
by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to
condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
17: For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they
which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall
reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)18: Therefore as by the offence of
one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the
righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification
of life.19: For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so
by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.20: Moreover the law
entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did
much more abound:21: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might
grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our
Lord.

In Ephesians we are reminded that it is not of our works in any way that
we are saved. Ephesians 2:4: But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great
love wherewith he loved us,5: Even when we were dead in sins, hath
quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)6: And hath
raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in
Christ Jesus:7: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding
riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.
8: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:
it is the gift of God:9: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

So when we have doubts of our salvation we can look at the scriptures
above and know that the doubts are not from God, if we believe, because
the Bible does not lie.
