Pray With Faith
Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
The things we ask in prayer may seem to us the right thing to ask for. I say this concerning prayers that seem to be not answered. God knows our hearts better than we do. He knows what we need as well as others.
It states in the Bible to ask and it shall be given to you. But it will come when God wants it to not when we may want it to. Everything is Gods and everything happens in Gods time not ours.
I will give you a personal example of this. My dad prayed for me to be saved. It happened but it happened after my dad had already passed from this world. He was not here on earth to rejoice with me in the salvation that comes through Jesus Christ. But I know that he saw it from where he is now and rejoiced there with others when this happened. So we must be faithful in our prayers and not give up praying just because we do not see the results.
I believe prayers are answered but I also know that we may not see it happen. All things are done for the glory of God and His Kingdom. If we ask for something specific that is not going to lead in that direction somehow then God, knowing all, may change it around a little. God is going to do what is the best for His children.
We do not need to know what the plan is that God has for us. We just need to have faith that His will is being done in our life.
Proverbs 15:23-33
23: A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!
24: The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath.
25: The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow.
26: The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words.
27: He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.
28: The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
29: The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
30: The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat.
31: The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise.
32: He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.
33: The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.
