I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.

Happy Thanksgiving

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Let's all take time today to thank the Lord our Saviour Jesus Christ for all the blessings we have. Let's also pray for those in need and those being persecuted in other countries in the name of Jesus Christ. Where they will probably not be going to a thanksgiving dinner or a church service. Where some are imprisoned already and have been for a long time, just for their faith in Jesus Christ. Where some may die today because of their belief in Jesus Christ.

Let us be very thankful today to be living in a free country, that God has so richly blessed, and for the men and women that serve in our military that help protect this freedom. Pray for their protection and speedy return to their families.

2 Corinthians 9:1-15
1: For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:
2: For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many.
3: Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready:
4: Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting.
5: Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness.
6: But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7: Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8: And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9: (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10: Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11: Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
12: For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God;
13: Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
14: And by their prayer for you, which long after you for the exceeding grace of God in you.
15: Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

Philippians 4:1-23
1: Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.
2: I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord.
3: And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
4: Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
5: Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6: Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8: Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9: Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
10: But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
11: Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12: I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
14: Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.
15: Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
16: For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
17: Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
18: But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
19: But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
20: Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
21: Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.
22: All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household.
23: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
