I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.

The tongue is powerful thing.

What we say can have grave consequences. The tongue can be used as a sword to cut deep. It can also be used to spread love. Love is the foundation of all that is of God. Do not use the tongue to sow the seed of discord but use it to sow the seed of love. You will see that seed grow and will be blessed by it. As we are in the flesh we have fleshly tendencies that, if not watched closely, can easily send the wrong message. Especially in children. They are easily cut deep by what is said. So think in times of anger and let the love show through. That will not always be first on our list at the time but strive everyday to let the true love of God shine through and be blessed by it. Take trouble to the Lord in prayer and He will comfort you. Blessed be His name.

Proverbs 10:11-12
The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life;
But violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
Hatred stirreth up strifes:
But love covereth all sins.

Proverbs 3:3-6
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee:
Bind them about thy neck;
Write them upon the table of thine heart:
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding
In the site of God and man.

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
And lean not to thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
And he shall direct thy paths.
