I have called upon thee, for thou wilt hear me, O God: incline thine ear unto me, and hear my speech.

Send The United Nations A Letter

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Dear Readers,

Contact the New Leader of the UN

Help ensure that new UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-Moon, makes ending the violence in Darfur a top priority.

Click here now to send your letter to the new Secretary-General.

Kofi Annan's tenure as Secretary-General ended with the close of 2006 and the United Nations now has a new leader, Ban Ki-Moon of the Republic of Korea.

Click here now to sign a petition urging the new UN Secretary-General to stay focused on ending the genocide in Darfur.

There is good news -- the new UN Secretary-General recently stated publicly that Darfur will be one of his first top priorities.

However, despite Secretary-General Ban's initial public commitment to Darfur, the UN has many other competing priorities and the Secretary-General will be faced with some very difficult decisions in the coming year. Ban Ki-Moon must do everything in his power to make Sudanese President Bashir respect his commitments, as well as to mobilize the necessary troops, funding and logistics from UN member states.

Will you help us make sure that Secretary-General Ban stays focused on ending the crisis in Darfur? Click here now to send a letter urging the new UN Secretary-General to make Darfur one of his top priorities.

The situation in Darfur has never been more urgent. Two weeks ago, the Sudanese government breached a hopeful 60-day ceasefire when military planes bombed Darfuri civilians. There were also reports of UN staff being assaulted by Sudanese police the weekend before last.

That is why we need your help to make sure that Secretary-General Ban hears from millions of people around the world with the urgent message to act quickly in Darfur before hundreds of thousands more lives are lost to the violence.

Click here to sign the petition to the new UN Secretary-General.

Once you've signed the petition, please forward this message to your friends and family and ask them to join you in contacting the new Secretary-General.

Thank you again for your commitment.

Best regards,

David Rubenstein

1 John 1:1-10
1: That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
2: (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)
3: That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4: And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
5: This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
6: If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
7: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
8: If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10: If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Psalms Chapter 45

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Psalms Chapter 45
1: My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.
2: Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever.
3: Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.
4: And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
5: Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under thee.
6: Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre.
7: Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
8: All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia, out of the ivory palaces, whereby they have made thee glad.
9: Kings' daughters were among thy honourable women: upon thy right hand did stand the queen in gold of Ophir.
10: Hearken, O daughter, and consider, and incline thine ear; forget also thine own people, and thy father's house;
11: So shall the king greatly desire thy beauty: for he is thy Lord; and worship thou him.
12: And the daughter of Tyre shall be there with a gift; even the rich among the people shall intreat thy favour.
13: The king's daughter is all glorious within: her clothing is of wrought gold.
14: She shall be brought unto the king in raiment of needlework: the virgins her companions that follow her shall be brought unto thee.
15: With gladness and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace.
16: Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth.
17: I will make thy name to be remembered in all generations: therefore shall the people praise thee for ever and ever.

The Persecution Continues To Spread

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Christians in Islamic Countries Targeted
This was the title of an article from NewsMax.com Wires on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001. I think that it is still relevant today.
Part of the article states: A prominent U.S. imam Monday assailed as un-Islamic the persecution of Christians in Muslim countries ranging from Indonesia to Nigeria. "The Koran enjoins Muslims to treat everybody with dignity and compassion," said Muzzamil Siddiqi, director of the Islamic Society of Orange County, Calif., when asked about the murder threats, violence, forced conversions, incarceration and discrimination some Christians are being subjected to. Read the full story HERE

Now, January 25, 2007, I read a headline that states
Bethlehem Christians fear neighbors.
Bethlehem, of course, is the place where Jesus was born and use to be predominately Christian but now it has changed. The following facts are from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
The percentage of Christians in the population of Bethlehem has been steadily falling, above all due to continuous emigration, as well as owing to the lower birth rate among the local Christians compared to the Muslims. In 1947, Christians accounted for 75 percent of the population of Bethlehem, but by 1998, their share had dropped to 33 percent.[2] Bethlehem's former mayor, Hanna Nasser, says an estimated 2,000 Christians in Bethlehem have emigrated during the period of 2000 - 2003.

Dhimmi Christians break their silence. By Khaled Abu Toameh in the Jerusalem Post, with thanks to all who sent this in:
{A dhimmi is a person of the dhimma, a term which refers in Islamic law to a pact contracted between non-Muslims and authorities from their Muslim government.}
A number of Christian families have finally decided to break their silence and talk openly about what they describe as Muslim persecution of the Christian minority in this city.

The move comes as a result of increased attacks on Christians by Muslims over the past few months. The families said they wrote letters to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, the Vatican, Church leaders and European governments complaining about the attacks, but their appeals have fallen on deaf ears.

Lamentations 1:1-22
1: How doth the city sit solitary, that was full of people how is she become as a widow she that was was great among the nations, and princess among the provinces, how is she become tributary
2: She weepeth sore in the night, and her tears are on her cheeks: among all her lovers she hath none to comfort her: all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they are become her enemies.
3: Judah is gone into captivity because of affliction, and because of great servitude: she dwelleth among the heathen, she findeth no rest: all her persecutors overtook her between the straits.
4: The ways of Zion do mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts: all her gates are desolate: her priests sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness.
5: Her adversaries are the chief, her enemies prosper; for the LORD hath afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her children are gone into captivity before the enemy.
6: And from the daughter of Zion all her beauty is departed: her princes are become like harts that find no pasture, and they are gone without strength before the pursuer.
7: Jerusalem remembered in the days of her affliction and of her miseries all her pleasant things that she had in the days of old, when her people fell into the hand of the enemy, and none did help her: the adversaries saw her, and did mock at her sabbaths.
8: Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward.
9: Her filthiness is in her skirts; she remembereth not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction: for the enemy hath magnified himself.
10: The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she hath seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy congregation.
11: All her people sigh, they seek bread; they have given their pleasant things for meat to relieve the soul: see, O LORD, and consider; for I am become vile.
12: Is it nothing to you, all ye that pass by? behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith the LORD hath afflicted me in the day of his fierce anger.
13: From above hath he sent fire into my bones, and it prevaileth against them: he hath spread a net for my feet, he hath turned me back: he hath made me desolate and faint all the day.
14: The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand: they are wreathed, and come up upon my neck: he hath made my strength to fall, the Lord hath delivered me into their hands, from whom I am not able to rise up.
15: The Lord hath trodden under foot all my mighty men in the midst of me: he hath called an assembly against me to crush my young men: the Lord hath trodden the virgin, the daughter of Judah, as in a winepress.
16: For these things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water, because the comforter that should relieve my soul is far from me: my children are desolate, because the enemy prevailed.
17: Zion spreadeth forth her hands, and there is none to comfort her: the LORD hath commanded concerning Jacob, that his adversaries should be round about him: Jerusalem is as a menstruous woman among them.
18: The LORD is righteous; for I have rebelled against his commandment: hear, I pray you, all people, and behold my sorrow: my virgins and my young men are gone into captivity.
19: I called for my lovers, but they deceived me: my priests and mine elders gave up the ghost in the city, while they sought their meat to relieve their souls.
20: Behold, O LORD; for I am in distress: my bowels are troubled; mine heart is turned within me; for I have grievously rebelled: abroad the sword bereaveth, at home there is as death.
21: They have heard that I sigh: there is none to comfort me: all mine enemies have heard of my trouble; they are glad that thou hast done it: thou wilt bring the day that thou hast called, and they shall be like unto me.
22: Let all their wickedness come before thee; and do unto them, as thou hast done unto me for all my transgressions: for my sighs are many, and my heart is faint.

One Judge, And It Is Not You

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Be careful of what is said. We cannot take what is said back. Once it is out it can do a lot of lasting damage. God tells us in Matthew 15 10: "And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: 11: Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man". Peter ask the Lord the meaning of this and Jesus said in Matthew 15 17: "Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?18: But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. 19: For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: 20: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man".

People take it upon themselves to judge others when the only judge that will be is God Himself. We judge others in many ways, their appearance, what they do, where they live, the kind of job they have, the kind of vehicle they have. All of these things will pass away but what is in their heart will not pass away. We cannot see what is in their heart, only God can see that. So next time we find ourselves judging someone else let us step back and know that we do not know what is in their heart. Let us spend more time loving one another rather than gossiping about another or judging them.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 22 37: Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38: This is the first and great commandment. 39: And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

It is only by the grace of God that we may be saved and not by the works of any man but one, Jesus Christ. He has done all that is needed for us to be chosen to have eternal life. Trust in Him and we are forgiven.

2 Corinthians 10:7: Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's

Romans 15:1-7
1: We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
2: Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
3: For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
4: For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
5: Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
6: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7: Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God

Hebrews 3:1-19
1: Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
2: Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
3: For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
4: For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God.
5: And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6: But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.
7: Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
8: Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
9: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
10: Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
11: So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
12: Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
13: But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14: For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
15: While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
16: For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
17: But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
18: And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
19: So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

Just Checking In

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

A minister passing through his church
in the middle of the day,
Decided to pause by the altar
and see who had come to pray.

Just then the back door opened,
a man came down the aisle,
The minister frowned as he saw
the man hadn't shaved in a while.

His shirt was kinda shabby
and his coat was worn and frayed,
the man knelt, he bowed his head,
Then rose and walked away.

In the days that followed,
each noon time came this chap,
each time he knelt just for a moment,
A lunch pail in his lap.

Well, the minister's suspicions grew,
with robbery a main fear,
He decided to stop the man and ask him,
"What are you doing here?"

The old man said, he worked down the road.
Lunch was half an hour.
Lunchtime was his prayer time,
For finding strength and power.
"I stay only moments, see,
because the factory is so far away;
as I kneel here talking to the Lord,
This is kind a what I say:

"I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD,
HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN,
SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHER'S FRIENDSHIP
AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN.
DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY,
BUT I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY.
SO, JESUS, THIS IS JIM
CHECKING IN TODAY."

The minister feeling foolish,
told Jim, that was fine.
He told the man he was welcome
To come and pray just anytime.

Time to go, Jim smiled, said "Thanks."
He hurried to the door
The minister knelt at the altar,
he'd never done it before.
His cold heart melted, warmed with love,
and met with Jesus there.
As the tears flowed, in his heart,
he repeated old Jim's prayer:

"I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, LORD,
HOW HAPPY I'VE BEEN,
SINCE WE FOUND EACH OTHER'S FRIENDSHIP
AND YOU TOOK AWAY MY SIN.
I DON'T KNOW MUCH OF HOW TO PRAY,BUT
I THINK ABOUT YOU EVERYDAY.
SO, JESUS, THIS IS ME CHECKING IN TODAY."

Past noon one day, the minister noticed
that old Jim hadn't come.
As more days passed without Jim,
he began to worry some.
At the factory, he asked about him,
learning he was ill.

The hospital staff was worried,
But he'd given them a thrill.
The week that Jim was with them,
Brought changes in the ward.
His smiles, a joy contagious.
Changed people, were his reward.
The head nurse couldn't understand
why Jim was so glad,
when no flowers, calls or cards came,
Not a visitor he had.

The minister stayed by his bed,
He voiced the nurse's concern:
No friends came to show they cared.
He had nowhere to turn.

Looking surprised, old Jim spoke
up and with a winsome smile;
"the nurse is wrong, she couldn't know,
that in here all the while,
everyday at noon He's here,
a dear friend of mine, you see,
He sits right down, takes my hand,
Leans over and says to me:"

"I JUST CAME AGAIN TO TELL YOU, JIM,
HOW HAPPY I HAVE BEEN,
SINCE WE FOUND THIS FRIENDSHIP,
AND I TOOK AWAY YOUR SIN.
ALWAYS LOVE TO HEAR YOU PRAY,
I THINK ABOUT YOU EACH DAY,
AND SO JIM, THIS IS JESUS
CHECKING IN TODAY."

May God hold you in the palm of His hand
and Angels watch over you.

But for those of us who are already His, He not
only holds us in the palm of His hand, but has
engraved our names there, and we are continually
in His sight(Isaiah 49:16)

Yes, I do love God. He is my source of existence and Savior.
He keeps me functioning each and everyday. Without Him, I
will be nothing Without him, I am nothing but with Him "I can
do all things through Christ that strengthens me." {Phil 4:13}

So this is me ... Just Checking In

Psalms Chapter 44

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Psalms Chapter 44
1: We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old.
2: How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out.
3: For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.
4: Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob.
5: Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.
6: For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.
7: But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us.
8: In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah.
9: But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame; and goest not forth with our armies.
10: Thou makest us to turn back from the enemy: and they which hate us spoil for themselves.
11: Thou hast given us like sheep appointed for meat; and hast scattered us among the heathen.
12: Thou sellest thy people for nought, and dost not increase thy wealth by their price.
13: Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.
14: Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people.
15: My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me,
16: For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and avenger.
17: All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.
18: Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy way;
19: Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death.
20: If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god;
21: Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.
22: Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.
23: Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever.
24: Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression?
25: For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaveth unto the earth.
26: Arise for our help, and redeem us for thy mercies' sake.

Not In The Doctrine Of Christ, Hath Not God.

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
For those that come to you not believing in Jesus Christ, trying to teach false doctrines, do not allow them into your houses. This is told to us in The Holy Bible very specifically. Neither should we wish upon them Gods speed or we would be a partaker of the evil that they are trying to spread.

Do not be deceived by the politically correct agenda that some are transforming to. There is still only one true living God. He never changes.

If there are questions being brought up in your mind about what is being taught at your place of worship, go to the Bible and see if it is of God or of men. We are to follow Gods' word and seek Him in all we do.

2 John 1:1-13
1: The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;
2: For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.
3: Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.
4: I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.
5: And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.
6: And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
7: For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
8: Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
9: Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10: If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
12: Having many things to write unto you, I would not write with paper and ink: but I trust to come unto you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full.
13: The children of thy elect sister greet thee. Amen.

Vision for Israel Update

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

JERUSALEM-ON-THE-LINE

Prayer Letter – January 16, 2007

JNN NEWS, P.O. Box 7411, Jerusalem 91073, Israel

"You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured upon me. My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries..." Psalm 92:10,11

IDF: CHANCE OF REGIONAL CONFLICT IN 2007 HIGH: The IDF's assessment for 2007 includes a high chance of a new regional conflict that may include Lebanon , Syria , the Palestinian Authority, Iran , or even Egypt . "For the first time in many years, there is no positive window of opportunity in the Middle East ," senior officers said last week. "We must come to terms with this and prepare accordingly," they warned. (Arutz-7) "When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul." Psalm 94:11

LIBERMAN TO RICE: 'IDF RETURN TO GAZA UNAVOIDABLE':
U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice heard unwelcome news from Strategic Affairs Minister Avigdor Lieberman Saturday night. Liberman said the IDF's return to Gaza is inevitable. If the IDF is forced into such an action this time, Lieberman said, the IDF would not pull out until the deployment of 30,000 NATO troops to ensure the area remains peaceful and quiet. (Arutz-7) "I will send fire upon the walls of Gaza that will consume her fortresses." Amos 1: 7

HIZBALLAH WIDENS ANTI-GOVERNMENT CAMPAIGN IN LEBANON:
Hizballah and its allies widened their campaign last week to force the Lebanese government's resignation, backing what they vowed would be a series of daily protests that will include the blocking of main intersections, the airport and other vital installations so as to "paralyze life in Lebanon." So far, PM Fouad Saniora has refused to resign. But by freezing the government, Hizballah has staunched what it saw as growing U.S. influence. It has also delayed the convening of an international court to try suspects in the 2005 slaying of former prime minister Rafiq al-Hariri, an assassination that government supporters blame on Syria . ( Washington Post/Arutz-7) "Though the wicked spring up like grass... they will be destroyed." Psalm 92: 7,8

OLMERT: UNILATERALISM HAS BEEN A FAILURE: In an interview with a Chinese news agency last week, PM Ehud Olmert expressed his disappointment with the results of Israel 's two unilateral withdrawals. He said that the violence in both Lebanon and Gaza convinced him that there is no point in any future unilateral moves of this kind. "We pulled out of Lebanon unilaterally, and see what happened. We pulled out of the Gaza Strip completely, to the international border, and every day they are firing Kassam rockets at Israelis." Olmert's conclusion was that under the existing circumstances, it would be more practical to achieve a two-state solution through negotiations rather than withdrawal. (Ha'aretz)

IDF: 'TERRORISTS ALWAYS RETURN TO TERROR':
Palestinians released in prisoner exchanges "always returned to terrorism," a high-ranking officer warned Sunday, ahead of a planned swap for kidnaped Cpl. Gilad Shalit. Palestinian Authority security forces in the West Bank are "infected with terrorist elements," he added. The officer said there had been a major increase in Palestinian terrorist activity in the West Bank in 2006, and warned of an outbreak of a new intifada. ( J.Post) "They eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence." Proverbs 4:17

ISRAELIS BELIEVE PALESTINIANS WANT TO DESTROY
ISRAEL: According to a poll taken last month, 69.5% of Israeli Jews said that the Palestinians would destroy the State of Israel if they could. 53% oppose evacuating most of the Jewish settlements in the territories for a full peace agreement, while only 34% favor it. 68% agree that even dismantling most settlements would not suffice for the Palestinians to sign a full peace agreement with Israel . (Haaretz) "All day long my enemies taunt me; those who rail against me use my name as a curse." Psalm 102:8

ABBAS TELLS RALLY TO USE WEAPONS AGAINST
ISRAEL: Palestinian Authority chairman Mahmoud Abbas, whom the US , Israel and most media have labeled as a moderate, told supporters in Ramallah last week that it is legitimate "to turn rifles against the occupation." Psalms Chapters 42 - 43

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Psalms Chapter 42
1: As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
2: My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
3: My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God?
4: When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday.
5: Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
6: O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar.
7: Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me.
8: Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
9: I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
10: As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God?
11: Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Psalms Chapter 43
1: Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.
2: For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
3: O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
4: Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
5: Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.

Faith Is The Key

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
To have the faith of a mustard seed. This is what we all need, faith. Faith that Jesus Christ came to earth as God manifested before men as a man. Faith that Christ died for the sins of the world. Faith that Jesus was raised up from the dead and is alive sitting on the right hand side of God. Faith that through Jesus Christ we may receive everlasting life. Faith that the Holy Spirit is always with us who believe in Christ. Faith that Jesus will return to earth as He has said He would. Faith that can only come through the living word of God, The Holy Bible.

Living and growing in faith with Jesus Christ is wonderful and amazing. But we can only imagine what it is going to be like when we see Christ for the first time. Will He come and embrace us with His loving arms? I think He already does that now. Will He tell us that everything is OK? I think He tells us that now. Will the angels rejoice when we get there? I think they are doing that right now. Jesus Christ is right here for us right now. Will we not be there for Him right now? Will we not praise Him and worship Him, giving Him the glory for everything right now?

There are many in and of this world but how many are not of this world just in it? There are few. This becomes more and more recognizable as time passes. Or as I get older. May God Bless all who come to Him through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

Proverbs 28:1-28
1: The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.
2: For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.
3: A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.
4: They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them.
5: Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things.
6: Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich.
7: Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father.
8: He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.
9: He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
10: Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.
11: The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.
12: When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden.
13: He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.
14: Happy is the man that feareth always: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.
15: As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.
16: The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days.
17: A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him.
18: Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.
19: He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough.
20: A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.
21: To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress.
22: He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.
23: He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue.
24: Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer.
25: He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat.
26: He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
27: He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.
28: When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.

Psalms Chapter 41

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Psalms Chapter 41
1: Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
2: The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
3: The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness.
4: I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.
5: Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish?
6: And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it.
7: All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt.
8: An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more.
9: Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.
10: But thou, O LORD, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.
11: By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
12: And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.
13: Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

Keeping The Unknown Martyrs In Our Prayers

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
This is going out to the martyrs that we do not know about, for there are many. Even as far back as in Biblical times there were those not written about. It was said that Isaiah was sawed in half by a wood saw, in some books. This is not specified in the Bible. It only states that some where sawn asunder in Hebrews 11:37 "They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;". In this verse of the Bible we can see that there must have been many. But with this in mind, I do not think that we could even begin to imagine the true number of Christians that have been martyrs for there faith in Jesus Christ. Only God knows each and every one of them and their names. Vengeance will come upon those on earth when the number of martyrs have been fulfilled as written in Revelation 6:9 "And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: 10: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11: And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled".

Here is part of an article listed below out of Ethiopia posted on The Anuak Justice Council site.
The Anuak are a river people whose villages are scattered along the banks and rivers of southeastern Sudan and western Ethiopia, in the region of Gambela.

Witnesses Report [EPRDF] Military behind Religious Violence.
The Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front, or EPRDF, is the ruling political party of Ethiopia.
In early October, at about 6:30 AM, a witness, whose name is being withheld out of fear of retaliation, went to an Orthodox church for worship. Men were seen approaching the church. They were holding machetes, clubs and sticks. "All of us could see them." He continues, "Behind them, they were followed by men in military uniform. We could hear the soldiers telling them to shout, '"Allahu akbar!'" or "'God is great!'" The militia then entered the church and started hitting the men with machetes in the head. The men fell down and people started screaming and ran out of the church.

There are many reports like this. But many do not even get the names of the Christians for the articles. The Voice of the Martyrs has a news and prayer update that one can subscribe to to help us see some of what is going on around the world to Christians. The e-mails are pretty specific and they give good details on the Christians they are reporting on. Below is the latest one I have received.

"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal."(Matthew 6:19-20)

EGYPT Police Raid Shop, Arrest Christian Shop Owner - VOM Sources
On December 26, 2006, police raided a shop owned by Magdy Guirgis Fam, an active member in the Egyptian Christian Youth Union (ECYU), who works under the Coptic Orthodox Church. The police destroyed his shop, beat him and arrested him. Magdy's ministry is following up with girls that Muslims kidnap or try to forcibly convert. This ministry has protected, rescued hundreds of Christian girls who have been threatened with kidnapping or forced conversion. The secret police have threatened other members of the ECYU. Pray God's protection and restoration for this brother, and his release from jail. Ask God to prompt Christians worldwide to lift up the country of Egypt before His throne. Psalm 32:7

Pray for IRAN
IRAN Christian Couple Flee Persecution in North Iran - VOM sources
A Christian couple who led more than 200 church members in a Northern city in Iran have had to flee to a bigger city in order to continue their ministry. After becoming Christians they led their friends and family to the Lord and started a Bible study. Within a year it had grown to a church of 50 people and in two years they had 200 believers. The church spread to more than 10 cities and they started training 24 others to evangelize and continue building up the Body of Christ. "It was during this time that my wife and I noticed the government had found out about us and was pursuing us. We were in constant danger and threat of being arrested," the pastor said. Pray God protects and opens doors for this Christian couple to continue preaching and reaching Iran for Christ. Proverbs 2:8

Pray for CUBA
CUBA Cuban Pastor Acquitted, but Convicted on New Charge - Compass Direct
A Cuban court acquitted Rev. Carlos Lamelas of human trafficking, but convicted him on previously announced charges of falsification of documents. The judges imposed a fine of 1,000 pesos ($45) for the new charges. "Even though this (sentence) is favorable, we are not satisfied. If a crime of falsification truly had been committed, that would make me an accomplice of trafficking in humans, and I would not have been acquitted. How can it be that I am innocent of the original crime and nevertheless guilty of the one they later invented," Lamelas said. Pray the Lord will give Rev Lamelas peace and protection. Psalm 29:11

Pray for INDIA
INDIA Indian Church Burnt; Christians Arrested - Compass Direct

In a separate event, a pastor and 10 other missionaries were beaten and arrested for singing carols. They were later released. In another incident, Hindu extremist group, Bajrang Dal, attacked 20 Christians gathered in a church. "They stormed into the church, beat some of the Christians and destroyed hymnbooks and Bibles. Just think of how many Christians could have went through similar experiences since the time that Christ was here on the earth. We should continue to pray for those persecuted by name but we should also pray for the many that we do not know by name. The ones that are only known to God and His angels above. Putting it before God in the name of His Son Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:26-39
26: Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27: And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29: For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30: Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31: What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32: He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33: Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34: Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36: As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37: Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38: For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39: Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Keep Seeking The Kingdom of God

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Well, we are off running in a new year. And with a new year starts a new round of people knowing the future. We hear evangelists talking of destruction and some of them the time in which Jesus is returning. 1 John 4:5 "They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them". It also says that if we are of God then we have overcome them. 1 John 4:4 "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world".

No one knows when Christ is going to return but Christ Himself. Let us not fix our sites on this world but keep our focus on what is not of this world, Jesus Christ. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God. This Is in Matthew 6:33. "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you". Stay focused and on track living life with the love of Christ in you. There is nothing else to be afraid of. Jesus Christ has already taken care of it all.

1 John 4:1-21
1: Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2: Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
4: Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
5: They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
6: We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
7: Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8: He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
9: In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10: Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11: Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12: No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.
13: Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
14: And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
15: Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16: And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17: Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18: There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19: We love him, because he first loved us.
20: If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21: And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

Gospel For Asia Update-105yrs old just Saved

Thanks and praise to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Sharing the Gospel in India can be fraught with danger. Christians are routinely persecuted in ways that we cannot even imagine. Some are even tortured or killed because of their faith. It is not an easy life.

In spite of the obstacles, God is moving in a mighty way among the people of India. Hearts are being radically changed. In the east Indian state of Tripura, those with a long history of persecuting Christians are turning toward faith in Jesus Christ. Recently a 105-year-old man who had always been hostile to Christians accepted Jesus as his Savior. Read the amazing story of this centenarian's decision to follow Christ.

As this article reminds you of God's amazing grace, please make time to pray for our Christian brothers and sisters in India.

Yours for the unreached,

K.P. Yohannan

John 15:1-27
1: I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2: Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3: Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4: Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5: I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
6: If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7: If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8: Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
9: As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
10: If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
11: These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
12: This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
13: Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14: Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
15: Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.
16: Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
17: These things I command you, that ye love one another.
18: If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19: If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20: Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
21: But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22: If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
23: He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24: If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25: But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
26: But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
27: And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
